Area blood drives announced in April
Several blood drives are scheduled in the area by the Mississippi Regional Blood Center.
Prairie View United Methodist Church will host a Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center blood drive from 2:30-7 p.m. April 9.
Donors who last gave on or before Feb. 23 are eligible to give again. Walk-ins are welcome, but for appointments, call Ann Snyder at 319-456-6708.

Cambridge Investment Research Inc. will host a blood drive from 12:30-5 p.m. April 10.
Donors who last gave on or before Feb. 14 are eligible to participate again. Walk-ins are welcome, but for appointments, call Rachel Jones at 470-1110, ext. 1729.
Donors must be at least 16 years old, in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. A blood donor card or photo identification is required to donate; 16-year-old donors must present a signed parental consent form each time they donate. The forms are available from blood center offices, including the one in Ottumwa.
People with controlled high blood pressure and diabetics can donate blood.
