Area blood drives scheduled
The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center mobile unit drew 78 pints of blood May 8 at Fairfield High School and 38 units May 14 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Activity Building.
With the success of these drives, the blood center announces other area drives.
The mobile unit will be at the Keosauqua Senior Center from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday. Donors must have donated last on or before April 3.

The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center mobile unit drew 78 pints of blood May 8 at Fairfield High School and 38 units May 14 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Activity Building.
With the success of these drives, the blood center announces other area drives.
The mobile unit will be at the Keosauqua Senior Center from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday. Donors must have donated last on or before April 3.
The unit will visit the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Activity Building for two drives: 2-7 p.m. June 4 and again 3-7 p.m. June 19. For the June 4 drive, donors must have donated last on or before April 9. For the June 19 drive, donors must have donated last on or before April 24.
Walk-ins are welcome at the blood drives, but for appointments, call the blood center at 800-452-1097.
Eligible blood donors must be at least 16-years-old, be in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. Sixteen-year-olds must present a signed parental consent form each time they donate. Consent forms are available at www.bloodcenter.org, along with more information concerning blood donation.
