FAIRFIELD WOMEN?S CLUB GARDEN DEPARTMENT

Fairfield Women?s Club Garden Department members will meet at 8:30 a.m. Thursday before departing to visit a greenhouse in Wellman.

The group will travel to Kalona for lunch and visit a greenhouse before returning.

Reservations are needed today and may be phoned to Donna Clark at 472-4248.

JEFFERSON COUNTY TOBACCO-FREE COALITION

The Jefferson County Tobacco-Free Coalition will meet at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Jefferson County Health Center.

The coalition values the community?s input at meetings.

JEFFERSON COUNTY RETIRED SCHOOL PERSONNEL

The Jefferson County Retired School Personnel met Wednesday at the McElhinny House with 17 members and two guests present.

Loretta Rinaberger, president, led the business meeting. Laurel Woody gave her report of the previous meeting, Roberta Mattson gave the treasurer?s report, and the health report was given by Isabel Johnson.

The program was presented by Ena Alcan, a Fairfield High School foreign exchange student from Serbia. She is living with the Ron Drish family and will return to her native country at the end of the school year.

April committee members were Marge Marine, Rosalie Thompson and Bev Lamansky.

The IRSPA District Six meeting, hosted by the Van Buren County Unit, will be held May 11 at the Roberts Memorial Center in Keosauqua.

The next meeting will be May 25 at the McElhinny House. Committee members are Don Kremer and Marvin Septer.
