JEFFERSON COUNTY RETIRED SCHOOL PERSONNEL

The Jefferson County Retired School Personnel met for brunch Wednesday at Fairfield Friends Church.

President Loretta Rinaberger resided over the meeting. Roberta Mattson gave the treasurer?s report, and Secretary Laurie Woody read her report. Both were approved as given.

Committee members were Jane and Dwain Dooley and Susan Phipps.

The program was given by Jefferson County naturalist Therese Cummiskey, who was introduced by Marvin Septer. Cummiskey gave a presentation on the species of owls found in Jefferson County Park.

Officers for the 2011-2012 year were inducted by Rinaberger. Officers are: Lois and Don Kremer, co-presidents; Septer, vice president; Dwain Dooley, treasurer; and Jeanne Erickson, secretary.

The meeting was the last time the group will convene until the 2011-2011 school year.

FAIRFIELD WOMEN?S CLUB GARDEN DEPARTMENT

Fairfield Women?s Club Garden Department members will meet at 8:30 a.m. July 7 at the McElhinny House to carpool to Burlington.

Members will tour Bangerts Gardens and Judy?s Bloomers. Following the tours, they will have lunch at Big Muddy?s.

Area ladies are invited.
