Tony and Lynn Fritz with his mother, Winifred Fritz, all of Brighton, attended the open house honoring Ron and Barb Rominger for their 55th wedding anniversary. It was held the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 22, in Fairfield.

Mary and Joel Boatright, with Bridget Hollingsworth and Jane and Virgil Symmonds, all of Fairfield, visited their mother, Winifred Fritz, on Sunday, Sept. 22.

Angela Garmoe, with Christopher, of Mt. Pleasant, visited her mother, Pat Remington, of Brighton, on Tuesday, Sept. 24. They dined at the Frontier in Washington.

Shirley Schooley of Brighton was visiting her son, Mike and Cindi Schooley, in Columbia, Missouri, Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 17-20. Their son Grant, of Ireland, was there for a two-week vacation. Grant is moving to New Zealand.

Hillsboro

Mark the calendar for two annual fundraisers by the Hillsboro Fire and Rescue Department.

The Hillsboro Fire and Rescue Department's Annual Soup Supper and Bingo is Saturday, Oct. 19. More details to follow in the next couple weeks.

Also, the Hillsboro Fire and Rescue Department's 28th Annual Christmas Craft Show will be Saturday, Nov. 9. To become a vendor at the show, contact Linda Carter at 319-253-4045 or Gloria Villanueva at Hillsboro City Hall at 319-253-4465 for more information.
