One plane switch and several hours later, they arrrived in Eugene, Oregon, where they were greeted by 2-year-old Ryleigh and her parents, Emily (Lewis) and Scott Boylan. Hugs and kisses were enjoyed by all.
On Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, a new granddaughter, Avery Mae Boylan, weighing 6 pounds, 14 ounces, was welcomed into the family. Two more weeks of 'granddaughter fixes” were filled with rocking both girls, playing hide and seek, inside and out, and watching endless young child educational shows. The original 'Lion King” was the favorite.
Family times like these are priceless and forever cherished. They wait anxiously for the Boylans to return home in a few years.
With hugs and tears, good-byes were said in early Wednesday morning, Aug. 21. Ann and Duane returned home that evening to resume their normal life and see if the cows stayed in the pasture. All was well and they are glad to be back home.
