AREA COMMUNITY NEWS: Free laser light show at IHCC

OTTUMWA -- To introduce the opportunities that are available in the field of lasers and optics, Prismatic Magic Laser Programs will be bringing its laser light show performance to the Indian Hills Community College Ottumwa campus.

The show is scheduled for 6 p.m. May 7 in St. John Auditorium.

It will feature a 'science spectacular with lasermania.” The International Society for Optics and Phototonics is sponsoring the show as part of an awareness campaign to let everyone know about the wonders of light and the field that includes lasers and optics.

SPIE has collaborated with the Midwest Photonics Education Center and Indian Hills to bring the show to IHCC as well as schools in Ottumwa, Pekin, Albia and Centerville.

Admission is free to the Indian Hills performance, and the public is invited to attend.
