AREA COMMUNITY NEWS: Pekin seeks kindergartners for next school year

PACKWOOD - Any parents with children age 5 years old by Sept. 15, 2019, and interested in attending kindergarten at Pekin Elementary for the 2019-20 school year, can attend Kindergarten Roundup Registration on 2-6 p.m. April 16 in the elementary cafeteria.

Parents will have the opportunity to complete registration materials, required medical forms, and receive information regarding the 2019-20 school year. Bring a copy of the child's birth certificate and any immunization records.

Pekin preschool students will be visiting the kindergarten classrooms from 9:45 -11:30 a.m. May 9 and May 10 in anticipation of the upcoming school year. If a child is not a student at Pekin preschool, but plans to attend Pekin Elementary in the fall, and would like to attend the classroom visit day, contact the Pekin Elementary office at 319-695-3707 for more details.
