Soup supper for Cardinal elementary archers

AGENCY -- A fund-raising soup supper is planned from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Agency Community Center.

The proceeds will be used to help fund the Cardinal Elementary School archers' trip to the national competition. The competition will be held during May in Louisville, Kentucky.

A free will offering will be collected for the supper, which will include soup, dessert and drink.

Easter egg hunts scheduled in Van Buren County

FARMINGTON -- Farmington's annual Easter egg hunt is planned at 10 a.m. Saturday at Indian Lake Park in Farmington.

The event is for children through age 12.

Easter egg hunts also are scheduled at:

' 1 p.m. April 13 in Birmingham City Park;

' 9 a.m. April 20 at Lacey-Keosauqua State Park, at the first shelter house;

' 10 a.m. April 20 at Milton City Park;

' 10 a.m. April 20 at Yates Park in Douds;

' 10:30 a.m. April 20 at Stockport City Park;

' 1:30 p.m. April 20 at Waubonsie Park in Cantril; and

' 2 p.m. April 20 at the former elementary school building in Bonaparte.
