Area students performing in holiday concert
OTTUMWA ? The music of the holiday season will be celebrated as Indian Hills Community College?s Department of Performing and Visual Arts presents its annual free holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in St. John Auditorium.

OTTUMWA ? The music of the holiday season will be celebrated as Indian Hills Community College?s Department of Performing and Visual Arts presents its annual free holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in St. John Auditorium.
The Indian Hills Staff Chorus will make its seventh appearance in this concert, performing ?O Holy Night,? ?O Come All Ye Faithful,? ?It Came Upon the Midnight Clear? and ?All Is Well.?
The Indian Hills Concert Choir will present ?This Christmastide,? ?The Little Road to Bethlehem,? ?The Boar?s Head Carol,? ?Christmas Time Is Here (from ?A Charlie Brown Christmas?)? and ?In dulci jubilo.?
The Camerata Singers will sing ?O Come, O Come Emanuel,? ?Carol of the Bells, A-Soalin?? and ?Gaudete.?
The Bridge City Explosion will perform ?Baby, It?s Cold Outside? and a medley entitled ?Swingin? with Santa.?
The Indian Hills Jazz Band will play a big band swing arrangement of ?Winter Wonderland,? a jazz ballad by Thad Jones entitled ?A Child is Born? and Sammy Cahn?s ?The Christmas Blues.?
In what has become an annual tradition for the finale of the concert, all performing groups will combine in a new version of ?It?s Beginning to Look Like Christmas? and ?We Wish You a Merry Christmas,? which was arranged by Philipsen and Sharp.

The staff chorus will include Steve Allison, Jo Altheide, Megan Bell, Jennifer Boyenga, Laura Brauhn, Dan Brauhn, Ed Corpus, Sarah Dias, Marshall Dias, Becky Diebold, Steve Garrett, Marsha Haworth, Jane Hicks, Susan Higgins, Sherry Langfritz, Anne Leathers, Barb Lindenmayer, Richard Mason, Martha McAntire, Peggy McFarland, Garry Meredith, Bob Morrissey, Maggie Morrissey, Marva Philipsen, Sue Pixley, Brenda Ragen, Frank Reed, Shirley Reid, Jennifer Sabourin, Rick Simpson, Nichole Stabile, Margaret Trucano, Vernon Trucano, Barbara Walker, Pam Wardenburg and Ronelle Willadsen.
