To the editor:
I was a 'first nighter” at the play, 'Arsenic and Old Lace” last Friday, Oct. 12. I wish the house had been packed because it was such a great show! Very good directing, acting and costumes. Never mind, you still have time to go to the theater Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon. The set was perfect for 1912. The old ladies were charming and dedicated to helping gentlemen callers find peaceful homes.
However, plot complications come one after another. Brother Teddy adds unexpected noise and two bad guys scare everyone. I felt a special sympathy for Abby, because I played her part over 30 years ago in the same play.
You must see it this week.
