Art Peck to turn 90 Saturday

Fairfield resident Art Peck will celebrate his 90th birthday on Saturday, Nov. 7. Art was born in Wyoming, Iowa, in 1930 to William and Doris Peck. Art and his wife Rita raised five children: Bill Peck of Skiatook, Oklahoma; Roger (deceased) and Diana Peck of Fairfield; Pat and Rex (deceased) Tarrence of Fairfield; Deb and Richard Taylor of Fairfield; and Randy and Shani Peck of Litchfield, Minnesota. Art and Rita have 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Through the course of his working life, Art worked at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, taught data processing at Iowa Tech College in Ottumwa, worked at Louden Machinery in Fairfield, owned and operated Peck's Billiards and Stonewall Lounge in Fairfield, and worked for Pinkerton Security in Fairfield. He also served in the U.S. Navy for four years.
Art was state of Iowa president for the Eagles from 1987-1988 and was a member of the Fairfield Dixieland Band.
