You?ve heard about the kids? summer reading club but the teens aren?t out of the game either! For grades six through 12, there is a summer reading club for you as well. There are fun games, meetings at noon on Mondays to discuss your reading material over lunch, special events including Hike and Write with Pam Holz, and Healthy Microwave Cooking For Teens with Stephanie Barnes, and of course there will be reading! To register, you will need go to this website, www.washington.lib.ia.us, and under the teens tab register in the month of May. Or you can also register in person in the young adult lounge at the library. By attending you will earn the chance to go to the pizza and movie party! You will have tons of fun playing games and filling your game cards. You can also get and use a pedometer to track how many steps you take just for fun! And as I have mentioned, you can come to ?Lunch Bunch? and talk about the book you will be reading over lunch. The book is Dairy Queen by Catherine Gilbert Murdock. You participants will meet at noon on Mondays here at the library in one of the meeting rooms. So please join us for a fun filled summer of reading! And adults, it?s not game over for you, stay tuned for your summer reading club!
