At the Library

With school now in session for almost a month, outreach programming for preschoolers has begun. I appreciate the invitation to bring a book, a few finger plays, and songs to each preschool center in Washington, and to spend a little time bringing my love of the library to the kids.

We are privileged to have such a great network of educators who work in early childhood. I enjoy visiting each center, and appreciate what each has to offer. The kids are always excited about their classroom, and love to show me all the wonderful things there are to discover in the room. The teachers do a wonderful job of putting their classrooms together to make them fun, and inviting. So much thought goes into organizing a room for little learners.

I look forward to another year of library outreach, and making new friends. I thank all of those involved with early childhood education, and for all that you do to provide wonderful learning opportunities for our youngest learners. I hope all of you have a great year. See you soon.
