With the holiday season approaching, our library is turning into an elegant display of books, lights, and beautiful décor for the busy month of December. Come in and see our winter displays of books for all ages from timeless classics to current genre picks we know you will love. We are especially enjoying when people are stopping in to get a book while they are out shopping around the square. As librarians in a small library, there is nothing better than helping a patron find the 'perfect fit” for a book to read. But, with the winter season comes weather which can be an obstacle for some people being able to leave their homes to come to the library. We never want anyone to be without books. So please call us and let us know if you are in Washington and would like a book to read. We will deliver the book to you. We want all of our patrons to continue reading even though the wind, snow, and ice may prevent you from coming to us. A part of our mission at Washington Free Public Library is to provide educational, cultural, and social enrichment for ALL residents of the City of Washington and surrounding areas.
