We are drawing closer and closer to Christmas with less than a week left! Around this time is when a lot of books get checked out that have a storyline during the Christmas holiday. On our new shelf, we have some of these books, so I decided to spread the word about the different plots.

We are drawing closer and closer to Christmas with less than a week left! Around this time is when a lot of books get checked out that have a storyline during the Christmas holiday. On our new shelf, we have some of these books, so I decided to spread the word about the different plots.
The first book is The Christmas Blessing by Melody Carlson. The book takes place in the 1940s. The main character, Amelia Richards, has a baby and sadly, gets informed that the father of her child was killed overseas. Amelia becomes overwhelmed due to this information and becomes jobless as well as hopeless. The only way she can turn, is to her child?s grandparents. The only problem is, they don?t know he exists. Can a Christmas miracle save her and give her baby a better life? Read the book to find out.
Fern Michaels is one author that people tend to recognize, especially during the Christmas Season. Her new book, Holly and Ivy, is no exception. Ivy usually becomes depressed during Christmastime. Eight years ago she lost her husband and two kids in a plane accident. She stays home alone, while everyone else is celebrating the day with their families, until one little girl with an amazing voice comes knocking on her door and changes everything.
If you are interested in either of these books give us a call or stop in! We have more books like this one on the shelves! These books are good ones to pick up, sit with a blanket, drink some hot chocolate, and enjoy the journey.
