At the library
The Washington Public Library staff are not just people I work with. They aren?t simply my coworkers or people I see a couple of times a week and not think twice about once I go home. I don?t even consider them friends.

The Washington Public Library staff are not just people I work with. They aren?t simply my coworkers or people I see a couple of times a week and not think twice about once I go home. I don?t even consider them friends.
No, they are much more than that; they are family. I have recently come to realize how blessed I am to be able to work alongside such amazing, loving people.
I knew before that I worked with outstanding people and I have always thought how lucky I am to have a job here, but with recent circumstances the fact that this is a blessing and not just luck has been shown to me in such a significant way. I have been going through a very hard time these past few weeks to which my library family has taken on headfirst and has shown me great love and compassion; which is exactly what I need.
They never cease to make sure that I?m doing well and to let me know that they are always there for me; just like family. Whether it?s talking in the back for an hour about what?s going on and how I am doing or just laughing together until there are happy tears in our eyes, the library is always there to lift my spirits.
The environment is always warm and welcoming and I hope that some of you have tasted and seen the loving kindness that these wonderful people have to offer to just about anyone.
These are the new materials available at the library this week.
