At the Library

Have you stopped in the library to see how we spruced up our tween area? Thanks to a generous donation from the Alliant Energy Foundation we were able to paint a pop of color, add some custom artwork and a cozy reading nook. The custom artwork was designed and painted by Debi Hanson. Thank you, Debi, for sharing your talent. Your artwork will inspire kids and ignite their imagination. Special thanks to my volunteers Kurt and Debi Hanson and Pat and Dale Bruegge. I couldn?t have spruced up the tween room without you. Stop by and see it for yourself. It is so much better in person!

Summer Reading is fast approaching. It is my favorite time of year. June is jampacked with fun reading programs for all ages. We have free entertainment, eye-catching displays, and so much more! This year?s summer reading theme is ?On Your Mark, Get Set READ!? Every year I challenge the kids to read at least 500 minutes during the month of June. Thanks to generous donations from the community we are able to reward the kids who have met their reading goal. Please contact Jenisa Harris if you would like to donate prizes, coupons, or money to purchase reading incentives. Your generous donation will help the library continue to ignite kids? love of reading!
