At the Library
Hey, everyone! My name is Brianna Dunbar. I have been a page at the Washington Public Library for two years now. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people, making new friends, and rekindling friendships that have sort of died out before. Hey, everyone! My name is Brianna Dunbar. I have been a page at the Washington Public Library for two years now. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people, making new friends, and rekindling friendships that have sort of died out before. Sadly the time has come for me to go to college, and that means that I pass on my job to somebody else.
I plan to go to college for two years at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny. I plan on getting a major in office administration. I might possibly get a minor in music as well. I am the first child in my family to go to college, seeing as how I am the oldest. I have a lot of mixed feelings, excitement, fear, anxiety, and independence, everything that goes with moving out of your home and away from your family to somewhere totally new and strange. I will come back home for my school breaks and for summer. I am going to miss everybody at the library, my coworkers that I now call my friends, my supervisors, and all the amazing patrons that come through these doors.
This was my official first job and I don?t think that I could have picked a better place to work. I love helping out with different programs especially the summer reading programs. The life-size candy land was probably my favorite to help out with. I made lots of the props and I totally enjoyed painting the gumdrops. Even though I am leaving, I leave behind me a bunch of happy memories and friends, whom I will come back to see as much as I possibly can. I hope everyone has had as good an experience with the library as I have had. I will truly miss all of you. Until I see you again, have a wonderful rest of the year!
