During this upsurge in COVID cases, the library has sadly had to shut down some non-essential services again. What we still offer the community is curbside contactless book pickup. This is a great way to order books for adults and children.
We are quarantining books for 72 hours after they come back into our drop boxes to make sure they are safe for checkout. Shop our online adult and children's catalog at www.washington.lib.ia.us to order books or call the library at 319-653-2726 to place an order.
Also, as we begin the holiday season, stop by the big windows to the library and see our collection of books, dolls, and various decor of 'Holidays Around the World.” We will be placing 'Fun Facts Bookmarks” of the holidays in our curbside bags you will get with your book order. These facts come from our Gale Databases available through our digital collection on our website www.washington.lib.ia.us
For the month of December, we will have a variety of virtual programs for all ages to participate in. To join our event email list please send an email to reference@washington.lib.ia.us or give us a call. You can also see our events on our Facebook Page. We appreciate the ongoing 'virtual” participation in programming and the use of our curbside service!
