AT THE LIBRARY: Find an abundance of resources at the library

The library holds an abundance of resources! Not only do we have hundreds of shelves carrying books, magazines, newspapers, movies, and more, but our website offers a collection of digital services you may find helpful! If you do not have access to a computer at home, we have computers on the first floor available for the public. You can use a library card or ask for a guest pass in order to access them. Library cards are helpful when accessing some of our services. You can learn a new language by registering for Transparent Language, read eBooks with BRIDGES, browse history through the digital archive, or search for magazines and newspapers with Gale. You can also explore the library catalog Alexandria online under our website and see what we have in store!
I am a huge fan of Young Adult fantasy. So far, my favorite books from the genre are the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas and the Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. I would highly recommend these if you are looking for great world-building, character development, and an intense plot. As for other fictional books, the Book Thief by Markus Zusak will never cease to amaze me. It is a historical fiction that gives a special view of Nazi Germany in 1939 through the eyes of Death. This piece is a treasure, a new level of writing. Each page will lure your curiosity and you will become attached to the character, their families, their friends, and their neighbors. If someone were to ask me what my favorite book is, I would definitely refer to this one.
I find it exciting when our librarians add new books to our vast collection. My reading list is endless! If anything in the library piques your interest, please feel free to check it out. If you simply want space to relax and do work, we have plenty of study rooms and lounging areas. We are happy to share the library and all its splendor!
