At the library: Preview of walking book discussion

As fall comes closer and closer it is even more reason to enjoy the outdoors. September 25 is my first walking book discussion at the Washington Public Library. Technically, we will walk, then talk, but you get the idea.
Our first discussion will be on our favorite authors. Working at the library I have discovered patrons who love their favorite authors, along with authors who write in a similar fashion. I have also found patrons who read a wide variety of authors and subject matter.
Those differences in people is part of what makes this job so very interesting. The different choices make each person unique and special, completely individual. I am wondering if they still love the authors they read as kids and teenagers. Beverly Cleary, Judy Blume and Stephen King were some of my favorites. Who are yours?
