At the library: The Library and its views

Now that Halloween is over, we can look forward to the holidays that are coming up, like Veterans Day (which we just celebrated), Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Christmas. One thing that I always look forward to when I am working during this time would be the views that I can see from the windows at the library.
Fall is not one of my favorite seasons because it always starts to get colder when fall rolls around. Fall does come with something beautiful though, and that would be the changing of the leaves on the trees. I love looking out of the front windows at the library to see the many trees of the square that have their orange, yellow, and red leaves once fall comes around the corner.
Winter is always beautiful at the library. I love seeing the trees and streetlights around the square that are decorated with the sweaters. I remember thinking when I was younger that it was so nice that people would dress up the trees and streetlights for winter because they could get cold like us too. I love seeing the trees dusted with the sparkly snow. When the Christmas lights are lit up around the square at night, it makes me think of the little toy towns that my family would decorate by our Christmas tree every year. The fountain lit up for Christmas is also one of my favorite things to see once my shift is starting to get over at the library. Even if there is a snowstorm, it always looks beautiful in the library. I believe that everything looks magical from inside the library.
The weather in fall and winter might be dreary, but that gives everyone more time to find wonderful books to read inside snuggled up in a blanket at home! We have a wonderful collection of holiday books for all ages. If you are interested in reading some books about the holiday season, you can give us a call at (319)-653-2726 or look at our online catalog at https://washington.biblionix.com/catalog/. Have a safe and happy holiday season!
