Audrey Smith among best archers in Iowa

Audrey Smith, sophomore at Van Buren Community High School and former Crawfordsville resident, shot a personal best of 294 out of 300 in Bullseye Archery on February 3, 2024. She is ranked number two in State High Schools out of 811 girls that shoot archery in the state in Bullseye. She will participate in the State Archery Tournament in Des Moines on March 3.
She is the daughter of Sonya Love-Smith of Keosauqua and Clyde Smith of Washington and the granddaughter of Carolyn Love and Larry Love of Crawfordsville.
Also, Lawson Love, a 5th grader at Lincoln Elementary in Washington qualified for State in Elementary Bullseye Archery. He is the son of Wesley Love of Ainsworth and Kaitlyn Love of Washington and the grandson of Carolyn Love and Larry Love of Crawfordsville.

CRAWFORDSVILLE LIONS CLUB
The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday evening, Feb. 12, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. for the monthly dinner meeting in the Crawfordsville Community Room with 14 in attendance.
President Mindy Wilson called the meeting to order leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Nancy Love gave the invocation.
Following the meal prepared and served by Alice Hochstetler the meeting reconvened. The minutes of the January 22, 2024 meeting were approved as read by Secretary Rose and Treasurer Finke gave his report and stated he had already received some money from the sale of tickets for the upcoming Pancake Supper.
Old Business: Discussion was held concerning the pricing of Bacon, Pork Chops and Sausage for Sale at the supper.
New Business: District 9SE District Governor Mike Renken will be present at the March 11 meeting to present Monarch Chevron Awards.
Lion Joel Greene will contact WACO High School Guidance Counselor Amy Pullis for scholarship names.
It was suggested members wear their Lions T-Shirts at the Pancake supper.
Lions Shirley Massey inquired about whether patches earned by the club should be put in the case or maybe on a banner outside. No decision was made.
As there was no further business, the president adjourned the meeting,
Tail Twister Finke entertained with trivia about football.
