Downing has won one of the industry?s highest honors, the Dove Award for Female Vocalist and also has been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
Her career as a successful Christian recording artist has taken her from a childhood on the family cotton farm in rural Mississippi to many of the nation?s largest venues including Carnegie Hall, the Crystal Cathedral and the Billy Graham Crusade in Nashville, Tenn.
