Baby shower held in Crawfordsville

BABY SHOWER

A Baby Shower was held for Angela Davis on Sunday, December 11, 2022 in the Fellowship Hall of the United Church of Crawfordsville. The shower was hosted by Jeanne Davis, Carman Davis,Brittany Davis, Amber Davis and Rebecca Davis.

Games were played by those in attendance and prizes were given to Angela.

While guests were enjoying refreshments, Anglea and Chris opened presents for their baby boy, who is to arrive on February 12. Guests came from Illinois and in Iowa from Osage, Mt. Union, Crawfordsville, Wayland, Washington, Wellman, Coralville, Iowa City and Cedar Rapids.

LIONS CHRISTMAS PARTY

The Crawfordsville Lions enjoyed a wonderful Christmas dinner, Monday evening, Dec. 12, at Miller's Homestead Cooking near Kalona. An array of delicious dishes was enjoyed by those present.

Attending were Scott and Jeanne Davis, Darrell and Mary Egli, Randy Finke, Joel and Luetta Greene, Jennie Greene, David and Lisa Jewell, Gene and Betty Lintz, Larry and Nancy Love, Mike and Shirley Massey and Shirley's mother, Ramona Von Sprecken, Gene and Pat Miller, Billie Jo Rose and Mindy Wilson.

The Lions next event will be the annual Christmas Drawing at the Crawfordsville Fire Station on Saturday, Dec. 17.

WOMEN'S LUNCHEON

Nine ladies of the United Church Women met Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022 for lunch at the EL MARIACHI Mexican Restaurant in Winfield.

Several Thank-you letters were passed from the Missions the ladies support,

A Christmas Day Devotion and Prayer was shared by Billie Jo Rose preceding the luncheon.

Hostess Pat Miller shared some Christmas sweets!

Those attending were Donna Fletcher,Debbie Lowe, Pat Miller, Margaret Patterson, Marlene Pelster, Pauline Richardson, Billie Jo Rose, Carolyn Steele and Cathy Williams.

The group's next meeting will be Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the United Church of Crawfordsville. Debbie Lowe will be the hostess and also have the meditation.
