Baby-sitting basics course open for registration

A baby-sitting basics training course will be offered to help youth learn how to be responsible baby sitters. Topics to be covered include employer expectations, caring for infants and young children, age-appropriate toys and activities, safety, emergency and first aid procedures.

The program is for any youth - boys and girls - who have completed fifth grade and above. There are two courses offered this summer either June 17-21 or Aug. 5-9. It is a five-day course from 1:30-3:30 p.m. each day. The cost is $30. Interested youth are encouraged to register as soon as possible, as each class is limited to 25 students.
