Babysitting Basics course offered
A Babysitting Basics Training Course will be offered to help youth learn how to be responsible babysitters. Topics to be covered include employer expectations, caring for infants and young children, age-appropriate toys and activities, safety, emergency, and first-aid procedures.

A Babysitting Basics Training Course will be offered to help youth learn how to be responsible babysitters. Topics to be covered include employer expectations, caring for infants and young children, age-appropriate toys and activities, safety, emergency, and first-aid procedures.
The program is for any youth (boys and girls) who have completed fifth grade and above. The five-day course will be held June 8-11 or July 6-10 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. There is a cost. Interested youth are encouraged to register early, as each class is limited to 25 students.
Registration forms are available at the Washington County Extension Office or online at http://www.extension.iastate.edu/washington/. Registrations are due by June 1. For more information, contact the Extension Office at 319-653-4811.
