Donated instruments fill a critical need in giving all students the opportunity to play.
?We hate to see any child miss out on the chance to learn a musical instrument because their family is unable to purchase or rent one,? said Band Aides President Detra Dettmann. ?I also know there are folks out there with instruments tucked away in a storage room or attic. By donating it to the Band Boosters, they can bring it to life again and give a gift of music to a child.?
In addition to instrument donations, Band Aides will also accept cash donations earmarked for instrument purchases.
To make a donation or to receive more information, contact Band Aides board member Mark Mayer at 472-2644 or markmayer@iowatelcom.net or any of the band instructors.
All donations are tax-deductible.
Fairfield Band Aides is a 501c3 nonprofit organization supporting instrumental music programs in the Fairfield Community School District since 1999.
