Baumann nets 28 in opener
Despite a 28-point effort from Cam Baumann, Fairfield?s eighth-grade ?A? team fell to Washington 46-41 Thursday in the season opener.
Baumann also had 14 rebounds for a double-double. Teammate Josh Osby supplied six points and four rebounds, Denver Schultz scored three and Brian Buch nabbed three steals.
