Baumert-Brock reunion held in Richland
REUNION

The descendants of the Oscar and Bessie Baumert and the Horatio and Matilda Brock families met for their annual reunion on Sunday, July 11 at Hinshaw Shelter in Richland. There were 34 in attendance. Following the blessing by Gene Baumert, a bountiful, cooperative dinner was enjoyed by all.
Those in attendance were Jeannie and Joseph Brasic of Carrollton, TX; Sandy Killin of Urbandale, IA; Mark Fowler of West Des Moines, IA; Joe Baumert of Des Moines, IA; Shelley Baumert of Cedar Rapids, IA; Jordynn and Jaydynn Baumert of Vinton, IA; Larry and Connie Baumert of Marion, IA; Loretta Streigle of Sigourney, IA; Joanne Baumertomalka of Sigourney, IA; Colleen Goldman of Sigourney, IA; Patty and Peter Hammes of Sigourney, IA; Cheryl Steffen of Ottumwa, IA; Sue Pfannebecker of Hedrick, IA; Amanda, David, Lyla, Aidan, Wyatt and Lathan Smothers of Millersburg, IA; Samantha and Ryan O'Neill of Rose Hill, IA; Rich and Christine Baumert of Delta, IA; Tracy Baumert of Washington, IA; Mark Baumert of Ainsworth, IA; Dennis and Judy Baumert of Keota, IA; Gene Baumert of Keota, IA; Greg and Kathy Brower of Richland, IA.
Loretta Streigle was the eldest in attendance and her great-grandson Lathan Smothers was the youngest. Traveling from furthest away was Jeannie and Joseph Brasic of Carrollton, TX. A thinking-of-you card was signed for Margaret Burk of Bucklin, MO; A guessing game was played and Ryan O'Neill was named the winner, with the correct number of M&M's. Bingo was played. Picture taking and visiting rounded out the day.
The 2022 reunion will be held July 10 at the Hinshaw Shelter in Richland.
