Washington County 4-H ELITE Project Team hosted a Clover Kid Winter Beach Party Sunday, March 11. Almost 50 Clover Kid members and friends enjoyed an afternoon of beach activities. They dressed for the occasion in leis, used the term ?aloha? and went home with beach balls. They enjoyed creating their own fish puppets, diggin for buried treasures, listening to the ocean, playing limbo and bingo. There was a snack station with special beach snack and a science station that included the science of homemade volcanoes. Participants loved reading the recipe, measuring ingredients, and mixing away before the grand eruption. It was a hit! Thirteejn high school 4-H youth volunteers led each beach station with seven adult 4-H volunteers. Kim Carter, 4-H ELITE sponsor said, ?These high school students were excited to plan and lead a fun afternoon for clover kids to make new friends, learn more about 4-H and have fun.?
