Shanti Children?s Foundation is a nonprofit that serves the educational needs of hundreds of children in the earthquake devastated regions of Nepal.
Former Fairfielder Pam Whitworth, who is founder and president of the foundation, was in Nepal at the time of the first disaster. She has returned to the United States to begin a concerted fund-raising effort to aid the children and their families.
Now that the area has experienced two major earthquakes, SCF is directing time and funds to helping the children and their families with very practical things like food packets, water purification tablets, and disinfectants. Plus they?re giving lots of love. When things settle down in the area, they?ll be working to help rebuild the schools and hostels.
Suggested donation is $10, but larger amounts are gratefully appreciated. Make checks out to Shanti Children?s Foundation.
This is an opportunity to help in very direct way, knowing donations will go to assist these children, their families and Nepal.
