Benefits of the birth of Jesus Christ

If you are reading this article you have survived another celebration of Christmas. It doesn?t matter when or how you celebrated the birth of Jesus, maybe on Christmas Day or Christmas Eve, or even at a party with co-workers. You have had the benefits of His birth bestowed upon you even if you didn?t include Him in your celebration. I am sure that you have seen the slogan, ?Jesus is the reason for the season.? You may not realize just how true that statement is? Jesus is really the reason for every day.

I recently read an article on how the birth and life of Jesus Christ has benefited the world. Rick Warren has written a book, ?THE PURPOSE OF CHRISTMAS.? He reminds us that Jesus? birth gives us reason for celebration. The celebration of how God the Father sent His one and only Son into the world as a baby.

The second reason is for Salvation. Everyone needs to recognize that Jesus? birth eventually led to His death on a cross for sin. All of us have some sin in our life. Jesus came to die for the forgiveness of our sin.

The third reason for Jesus? birth is for reconciliation. Because of our sin our relationship with God is in trouble. Jesus? birth, death, and resurrection from the tomb can bring us back into a relationship with God.

One of the really neat things about Jesus? birth is that He chose to come to this world. He chose to give His life as a sacrifice for us. All of us have access to the benefits by simple faith in the Son of God. Make this Christmas Season a special on by receiving the Greatest Gift ever given.
