‘Big Band Theory’ to play in Washington

On Saturday, June 29, a fundraiser will be held for the Washington Area Performing Arts Center. At 5 p.m., Flamin' Flips BBQ will sell dinner in the parking lot of Washington High School from 5-7 p.m. Part of the proceeds from the meal will support the auditorium. At 7 p.m., 'Big Band Theory,” a group comprised of alumni and local musicians, will take the stage to perform pieces from the big band era. There is no fee for this event, but a free-will donation will be accepted, with all proceeds going toward upgrades for the auditorium.
