The Birmingham Homecoming Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 4 at the Birmingham Lions Building.

The Birmingham Library board will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 4 at the library.

The Rebekah Circle of the Methodist church will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 5 at the church. Barb Filson will be the hostess.

White School will have a picnic at 6 p.m. Sept. 8 at the schoolhouse on West Highway 16. Those attending should being food to share, table service and lawn chairs.

The morning of Aug. 19, 120 bicyclists stopped at the Birmingham Park shelter for refreshments during Bike Van Buren. Refreshments were provided by the fire department, city of Birmingham and Friends of Birmingham.
