Austin Tedrow of Libertyville was a new blood donor at the Mississippi Valley Regional blood drive Feb. 2 at the Birmingham Lions Building.
A total of 18 units of blood was collected.
The next blood drive will be March 29.

The Red Hat Ladies met for lunch Tuesday at Johnny?s Place in Fairfield.
Twenty-one members attended. JoAnn Denniston won the door prize, and valentines were exchanged.
The hostesses were Mary Ann Cook and Violet Findley.

Margaret Wilson Scholarships applications are due by April 1. Margaret Wilson was a member of the Birmingham United Methodist Church, and left money, with interest, to be used for scholarships.
Applicants must live within the Birmingham ZIP code or telephone exchange areas or be a member, the spouse of a member or a dependent of a member of the Birmingham United Methodist Church.
Applications are available at the church, Community First Bank in Birmingham and the Van Buren and Fairfield high school guidance counselors? offices.
