The theme of the contest was Children Know Peace.

The Birmingham Homecoming Committee is sponsoring a brunch with Santa Claus Dec. 3 during the Christmas in the Villages celebration. Biscuits and gravy, breakfast casserole, pancakes and waffles will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Birmingham Lions Building. The cost is $7; children 10 and younger eat free. Santa will arrive at 11:30 a.m., with goodies for children.
