The Stockport Public Library has two new large-print books by Patricia Cornwell and Janet Evanovich. New DVDs, including ?Due Date,? ?Stranger than Fiction,? ?Date Night? and ?Cop Out? arrived recently.
Librarian Bev Runyon said if the Stockport Library does not have a book a person would like to read, let her know and the library can get it from another library.

Visitors to Stockport Library Monday can make valentine bookmarks.
Let Beverly Runyon know before Monday if a child plans to make a bookmark so she can make sure there are enough supplies for everyone. Call the library at 319-796-4681. The library is open from 3-6 p.m. Monday and Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday.

The Red Hat Ladies will meet for an 11:30 a.m. lunch Tuesday at Johnny?s Place in Fairfield.
Each woman should bring a valentine.
The hostesses are Violet Findlay and Mary Ann Cook.

The Birmingham Lions will have a valentine supper at the Birmingham Lions Building at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The Rebekah Circle of the Birmingham United Methodist Church will serve the supper.
Reservations must be made to Harry Anderson at 319-498-4201.
The February committee is Hugh Shaw and Stanley Knipfer.

The Birmingham Homecoming Committee will serve a fish and chicken fry from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Birmingham Lions Building.
The meal will include baked beans, coleslaw and macaroni and cheese, desserts and drink.
Proceeds will help with the Birmingham Homecoming.
