The Birmingham and Stockport Lions clubs will have a carry-in supper at 7 p.m. Monday at the Lions Club building.
The families of the peace poster contestants are invited. The winners of the contests will be announced.
The November committee is Harry Anderson and Van Meek.

The 50 and Fabulous Red Hat Ladies will meet for an 11:30 a.m. luncheon Tuesday at the Birmingham Lions building.
The November hostesses are Barb Anderson and Donna Pratt.

The blood drive held recently at the Birmingham Lions building collected 20 units of blood. Terry Gates was a new donor. Judith Hardin reached the 8-gallon mark. Dave Topping reached the 4-gallon mark, and Billy Wiley reached the 1-gallon mark.

STOCKPORT
Volunteers are needed to help raise and lower the flags Monday, Veterans Day, for Stockport?s Avenue of Flags.
To help, meet at 7 a.m. in front of city hall to raise the flags and at 4 p.m. to lower the flags.
The flags fly four times per year on Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July and Veterans Day.

The Stockport Public Library will be closed Monday for the Veterans Day holiday. The library will be open from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday.

Larry Cass installed a new outdoor light at the Stockport library. It will be turned on this fall and winter so that everyone knows the library is open. The library?s hours are 3-6 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays all year long.

Stockport Public Library is having a coloring contest in the month of November. Stop in and get a turkey to color, then bring it back in to put it in the window.
