STOCKPORT
Stockport City Council reminds residents to take recycling and garbage cans back off of the street after Waste Management has collected the recycling and garbage.
If it is windy, containers can fall into the street causing problems for drivers. The containers can get damaged, and it looks unsightly.
City council said residents who can?t be home to remove cans from the street, can ask a neighbor to do it.

A Country and Old Tyme Music Jam is set from 1:30-4 p.m. Sunday at the Heritage Estates Community Room in Stockport.
Bring instruments to play acoustical music or just come and enjoy the fellowship and listen to the music.
A freewill offering will be taken up to help defray costs.

The B.A.T.T.L.E. Youth Group meets at 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Stockport United Methodist Church.
All youth are invited to attend.

It?s Girl Scout cookie time again. Stockport does not have a Girl Scout troop, but twins Breeana and Zoe Runyon of Hillsboro can fill orders. Call them at 319-253-5014 and find out what kinds of cookies they have this year.
