Sawyer Rugg, son of Uriah and Shannon Rugg was one year old on Saturday, July 18 and he celebrated with a party at the Legion Hall in Crawfordsville with family and friends. Maid-rites, Hot Dogs, Potato salad and a cake made by his great-aunt, Ann Lewis was served.
He received lots of toys and books from those in attendance.
Attending were his parents, Uriah and Shannon, Grandpa and Grandma, Sanford and Nancy Rugg; Grandma Debbie Peserik; Aunts, Chelsea and Clarissa Rugg; Janet and Ernie Whiting; Ann and Duane Lewis; Pam Davis; Scott and Jeanne Davis; Marcus, Brittany Davis, Makinley, Bryson and MerrickDavis: Brenda Lyon; Lindsey, JP, Anden and Luka Adam; Kyle and Bri and Jayden Nelson: Shannon and Declan Hannan and Brandi Dawson.
Barrett Joseph Carter is the son of Alex and Esther Carter born July 10, 2020 at 8:55 a.m. at the U.I.H.C. in Iowa City. He weighed in at 6 lbs. 14 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. He was welcomed by big sister, Lucy, 4 1/2 years old.
Grandparents are Dave and Jennifer Sterba of Wayland and Natalie Hoaglin of Salem. Barrett has one great-grandmother, Virginia Storm of Omaha, NE and a great-grandfather, Howard Mace of Hazelton, IA.
Once again, the city is offering bricks for sale at the town sign. People may purchase them with their family names, business, etc. engraved on them. Many people in the past have purchased these as a memento or even a memorial to some of their loved ones.
