Bishop, Pilcher engaged

Jerry and Teri Bishop of Bettendorf announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Beth Bishop, to Gene Pilcher, son of Jesse and Suella Pilcher of Fairfield and grandson of Anna Brenneman of Fairfield.

Bishop, of Cedar Falls, is the granddaughter of Ron and Barb Rominger of Fairfield and a 2005 graduate of Fairfield High School. The bride-elect graduated from University of Northern Iowa with a degree in marketing. She now works for The Grassley Group as a marketing/meeting planning assistant.

Pilcher, also of Cedar Falls, is a 2007 graduate of Fairfield High School. The groom-elect graduated from University of Northern Iowa with a degree in criminology and sociology. He is currently a youth services worker at the State Training School for Boys in Eldora.

The couple will exchange vows July 30.
