Blood drive results announced
The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center mobile crews recently drew 220 units of blood at seven drives held throughout the area.
The mobile crew drew 18 units of blood March 5 at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.
The crew drew 22 units March 6 and another 38 March 13 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Activity Building.
Seventeen units were drawn March 6 at the Batavia Senior Center.

The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center mobile crews recently drew 220 units of blood at seven drives held throughout the area.

Fifty units were drawn March 9 at the Van Buren High School.
Twelve units were drawn March 15 at the Maharishi University of Management.
According to the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center: a person can donate blood every eight weeks; one pint of blood can help save the lives of up to three people; and one out of every five people entering a hospital will need blood products.
