Become a new blood donor. Your blood donation can save up to nine lives. Thirty-eight percent of the population are eligible to donate blood, but only 10 percent do so. Consider becoming a donor as your personal community service project. To learn more about giving blood to save the lives of others Contact Don Pfeiffer at 319-653-4912. Pfeiffer is the blood drive coordinator with the Optimist Club of Washington. The donation process will take about one hour.
