Blood drive set in Keosauqua
KEOSAUQUA ? A Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center blood drive will be held from 3-7 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Keosauqua Senior Citizen Center.
Donors who last gave blood on or before Nov. 20 are eligible to give again.

According to the blood center, blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that only takes about an hour. Donors must be at least 16 years old, in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds.
Donors younger than the age of 16 are required to present a signed parental consent form, available from blood center offices or its website at www.bloodcenter.org.
A blood donor card or other photo identification is required to donate.
People with controlled high blood pressure and diabetics can give blood.
