Blood drives collect 200-plus units

The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center recently drew more than 200 units of blood at area blood drives.

Aug. 14, 40 pints of blood were drawn at Cambridge Investment Research Inc.

Aug. 15, 18 pints of blood were drawn at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Activity Center.

Aug. 17, 40 pints were drawn at the Jefferson County Health Center Professional Clinics.

Aug. 20, 46 pints were drawn at the Mother Cabrini Parish Center in Richland.

Aug. 21, 27 pints were drawn at the Batavia Senior Center.

Also Aug. 21, 28 pints were drawn at the Lockridge Senior Center during a drive sponsored by Lockridge Fire and Rescue.

Aug. 22, 32 pints were drawn at Hope Lutheran Church in Germanville near Brighton.
