Blood drives set at M.U.M., Lockridge

The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center is planning two area blood drives.

The first will be 2-6 p.m. Thursday at Maharishi University of Management Argiro Student Center.

Appointments may be made by contacting Hallei Halter at M.U.M. or online at www.bloodcenter.org.

Donors who last gave blood on or before Aug. 18 are eligible to participate in the blood drive.

The second, sponsored by Lockridge Fire and Rescue, is set for 3:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Lockridge Senior Center.

Blood donors who last gave on or before Aug. 23 are eligible to participate.

New donors are welcome. Persons with controlled high blood pressure and diabetes are accepted. A blood donor card or other photo I.D. is required for anyone to donate.
