Oct. 14, 2019 3:41 pm
Washington County 4-H County Council members gathered to organize and prepare for deliveries of the Blue Ribbon Cookies to community partners of 4-H. County Council members Isaac Black, Cooper Sieren, Ellie Todd, and Taylor Brinning helped organize the cookie platers. Just over 1000 cookies were baked by 4-H families, exchanged, and repackaged as Blue Ribbon Cookies plates that will be delivered throughout the county as a part the National 4-H Week celebration October 6-12.
This Blue Ribbon Cookie Buffet was designed to share one of the many talents of 4-H'ers with the county – baking! Over 50 plates of cookies will be delivered to 4-H sponsors and partners throughout the county as a thank you for all they do to support Washington County 4-H and to help advertise ways to get involved during National 4-H Week. To get involved with the 4-H program in Washington County, as a member or volunteer, please contact the Washington County Extension Office, 319-653-4811.
