Bob Kiefer to celebrate 80th birthday

Please join us Sunday, July 28, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain, Iowa for an open house to celebrate Robert (Bob) Kiefer’s 80th birthday.

Bob was born June 17, 1944 in Keokuk County, Iowa to Clarence and Bertha Kiefer. He grew up in the Talleyrand area until 6th grade. His parents then moved to a farm west of Pleasant Plain, Iowa. He attended Pleasant Plain Schools until 1961 when reorganization of the Fairfield Community Schools took place. Bob spent his senior year at Fairfield High School, graduating in the class of 1962.

On Nov. 28, 1964 he married Evelyn Marie Anderson of Fairfield at St Joseph’s. Bob and Marie will also celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on that day. They live on an acreage between Pleasant Plain and East Pleasant Plain, Iowa. Bob is a carpenter and Marie is retired.

They have four children: Suzette (Michael) Striegel of What Cheer, IA, Annette (Jerry) McCullough of Goldsboro, NC, Rob of Brighton, IA, and Tim (Dessa) of Brighton, IA. They have 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
